ABOUT
The Artsit
Caroline Toli is a mixed-media artist from Massachusetts whose work is deeply inspired by the ocean, wildlife, and the natural world. With a strong connection to nature, Caroline creates pieces that reflect the beauty of animals—especially those affected by pollution—and the emotional bond between people and the environment. Her art celebrates the unique spirit of coastal life and the rich landscapes of New England.
Growing up on the East Coast, the ocean has always played a big role in shaping her perspective. She’s known since she was little that she was born with the gift of art. Caroline earned her BA in Fine Arts with a minor in Graphic Design from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI, and her work has been exhibited at the Bristol Art Museum in both 2024 and 2025.
In addition to her ocean-inspired pieces, she also creates landscape work to capture and share the natural beauty of New England. She enjoys dabbling in photography as another way to explore and express her love for the outdoors.
When she’s not creating, Caroline is likely hiking, at the beach, fishing, spending time with friends, or chasing her next adventure. Through her art, she hopes to connect people with the nature she loves and share the places and creatures that inspire her most.

The Artwork
My artwork comes from a deep connection to animals and a genuine love for nature. I’m constantly inspired by the natural world—the changing landscapes, the wildlife, and the delicate balance that holds it all together. Through quiet moments of observation and personal experience, I try to capture not just how things look, but their spirit and energy.
Growing up in New England, I developed a strong appreciation for its coastal waters, forests, and the gentle shifts of its changing seasons. This connection influences my work, where I focus on landscapes and wildlife that reflect the unique beauty of the place I call home. Sometimes, I venture beyond New England to explore other landscapes and wildlife, which helps me learn and grow as an artist. With my art, I hope to share that sense of wonder and invite others to feel connected to the natural world.
While the ideas behind my work are important, I also put a lot of care into the technical side of creating art. Using watercolor, acrylic, pen and ink, and pastels, I carefully craft each piece so that both the feeling and the technique come through. My goal is to create art that encourages viewers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the world around them.
